Sion Junior Youth Club

The Sion Junior Youth Club of Seventh Day Adventist English Church, High Street was initiated to organize this club in the year 2013 with 10 children. The club has a specific curriculum designed by the Youth Ministries Department of General Conference to nurture the children. This includes carefully tailored activities in outdoor living, nature exploration, crafts, hobbies, or vocations. In this setting spiritual emphasis was well received. A year later, in 2014, we added the Pathfinder club to the existing Club ministries. By now, our membership had grown to 16 children. In 2016 we named the club as Sion Discovery, Sion Adventurer, and Sion Pathfinder Clubs. By the instructions of the Youth Ministries Department, this year, 2021, we are adding the Master guide Club to the Sion Junior Youth Club.

The Club curriculum fosters the Physical-Mental-Spiritual needs of children from the age of 2 years to 16 years. There are various programs and activities to encourage young children to discover God, develop their spiritual lives, and help them deploy their spiritual gifts. The curriculum focuses upon the four different facets of the child’s world. The four facets help them to build a fruitful relationship with Jesus, appreciate the individual that God has created them to be, being productive members of the families God gave them, and encounter God’s world with confidence and compassion.

This assists the children in their developmental age to have a richer and more meaningful life in accordance with God’s will.
